Hey y'all,
So today is national lipstick day, and I thought it would be the perfect excuse to share some lipys that I adore.
Back Left: Kate Moss Rimmel in 01
This shade is my go to for a really dramatic statement bombshell type of look. I like to use this when I want that over the top "boss bitch" kind of look. The kind of look that says "hot damn" without a word
Back Middle: Avon square shaped lipstick in Just Right Red
Now this is my everyday red. It still makes the statement without being too much for class. The unique square shape makes it a lot easier to apply.
Back Right: Kate Moss Rimmel in 09
This shade is almost like a berry red color. If you can tell yet, red is my comfort zone. I have naturally dark pigmented lips so reds are usually easy for me to apply. I just love the statement. I wear this when I'm not quite feeling a true red color.
Front Left: Clinique Different Lipstick in Taffy Rose
This is my "my lips but better shade" I've had this shade for a long time, because I only use it when I want a very natural look. It's a sheer shimmery tint that looks so natural on my lips. If you're a lipstick begginer I highly recommend sheer buttery formulas like this.
Front Middle: NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick
I know what you're probably thinking. That is one different shade, and you're right. I bought this to be a center of attention, fun, and experimental color. I think it can be thrilling to try that bold in your face lip color. This formula can be quite drying, and it stains insane. You have to be careful, but it's well worth it.
Front Right: Kate Moss Rimmel in 101
If you can't tell by now, I love this line. They all smell amazing, and they're of great quality. The packaging is super cute too. I love to use this matte pink color when I'm doing a very dramatic eye look. I have to mute my natural lip tone to make this color work for me, but it's so worth it.
If you haven't noticed, all of my choices are pretty cost effective. They're all in the $5-15 range. I think sometimes bloggers don't provide enough great drugstore alternatives. Beauty doesn't have to cost the same price as an oil change.
If you would like me to do anymore posts like this focusing on other products just let me know. :)
Cali Out
